Class Of 2011 Chicago Morgan Park Star Wayne Blackshear Of The 17-U Mac Irvin Fire Again Shows Why He Is Among The Best In The Country Despite Still Not Being 100% Healthy

Chicago Hoops - May 05, 2009

Class of 2011 Chicago Morgan Park star Wayne Blackshear of the 17-U Mac Irvin Fire is still not quite 100% healthy, but again showed this weekend why he is regarded as one of the top Class of 2011 basketball prospects in the United States.

Blackshear, a 6'5" shooting guard, brings a dazzling combination of size and athleticism to the table. Blackshear was on his game this past weekend at Spiece dropping shots with three-point range, and using his size and athleticism to slash to the hole.

Blackshear, who has not yet been 100% healthy this spring after hyperextending his knee, notes that he is continuing to work on all aspects of his game.

Blackshear also mentions a long line of schools that are currently in hot pursuit including Illinois, Kentucky, Purdue, Wisconsin, Texas and Southern Illinois to name a few.

Blackshear, and his 17-U Mac Irvin Fire teammates will next be in action at the Howard Pulley Sabes Invitational in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
