Strong Contingent Of Top Illinois Prospects Set Descend Upon Charlottesville, Virginia For The 2009 NBAPA Top 100 Camp

The state of Illinois will have a strong contingent of competing campers at the 2009 NBAPA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville, Virginia this week. The event will feature some of the top Class of 2010 and 2011 basketball talent in the country.

Crandall Head (Chicago Crane), Meyers Leonard (Robinson), Jereme Richmond (Waukegan), Lenzelle Smith (Zion-Benton), Wayne Blackshear (Chicago Curie) and Jabari Parker (Chicago Simeon) are all among the players from the state of Illinois invited to participate in the event. Alex Rossi (New Trier), who is currently at the University of Virginia Elite Camp, has also now been added to the event.

Head, Leonard and Richmond are all University of Illinois recruits. Smith is committed to Ohio State. Rossi and Blackshear, a 2011 prospect, are both uncommitted. Parker, a 2013 prospect is also uncommitted.

The camp is set to run from June 17-21.
