Class Of 2013 Chicago Simeon Star Jabari Parker Of The Mac Irvin Fire Picks Up A Big 12 Scholarship Offer From Kansas

Class of 2013 Chicago Simeon star Jabari Parker of the Mac Irvin Fire has added a scholarship offer from Kansas University to his fast-growing collection. Parker rates as one of the top Class of 2013 basketball prospects in the country.

Parker, who stands 6'6", is a highly versatile all-around talent who excels with an incredibly high basketball I.Q. He is coming off of a superb run on the travel team circuit with saw him team with Thomas Hamilton (Chicago Whitney Young) to lead the Fire to a 5th place finish at the 14-U AAU National Tournament.

Parker's latest offer is added to a collection that already includes Illinois, Washington, Northwestern, Brigham Young, DePaul and Baylor.

Sonny Parker, Jabari's father, confirmed the offer from Kansas.

Kansas has had a great run with prospects from Illinois of late including Julian Wright (Homewood-Flossmoor), Sherron Collins (Chicago Crane) and Mario Little (Chicago Washington).

Parker, along with 6'7" Alex Foster (Chicago De La Salle) and 6'7" Thomas Hamilton (Chicago Whitney Young) combine to form a superb trio of Illinois Class of 2013 basketball prospects that all rate among the best in the country.

Parker is also part of a tremendous young core of talent at Chicago Simeon that also includes highly regarded Class of 2012 prospects Jelani Neely and Steve Taylor.
